Zeta is a high-born girl from Hillvale, approximately Kwan`s age. She is the daughter of the Coalition`s tax collector Megerin. She received from her father the golden dress Kwan worked on for half a year, which he took as tax recompensation. Kwan recognizes the dress she herself made and inquires about buying the dress back. Here, Zeta shows her haughtiness and arrogance, deriding Kwan for her common lineage and even lashing out physically, albeit inexpertly, with no good reason. Zeta does not seem to rate high amongst her high-class company, as no one intercedes on her behalf when she gets the shorter end in the scuffle and loses her dress.
